Exterior Design

The Velar stands out with a clean, contemporary design that emphasizes simplicity and elegance. Its flush door handles, sculpted body lines, and signature LED lighting create a streamlined look that feels upscale and modern. Around Newport Beach, its understated luxury fits seamlessly into coastal surroundings, while available larger wheels and a bold front grille give it a confident road presence.

Interior Design

Inside, the 2026 Velar focuses on a minimalist, high-end cabin experience. Premium materials like leather upholstery, refined trim accents, and a panoramic roof create an open, comfortable environment. Seating for five and flexible cargo space make it practical for everyday driving in Santa Ana, while the clean dashboard layout enhances the sense of calm and sophistication throughout the cabin.

Performance

The 2026 Velar offers two main engine options designed to balance efficiency and performance. The standard two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces around 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque, delivering smooth acceleration for daily driving. For more power, a three-liter inline-six mild-hybrid engine generates approximately 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, providing quicker acceleration with a zero-60 mph time of about 5.2 seconds. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, giving drivers confidence whether commuting through Huntington Beach or traveling across Orange County.

Technology

The Velar features an infotainment system with a large touchscreen interface, intuitive controls, and seamless smartphone integration. A digital driver display keeps essential information easily visible, while optional premium audio systems enhance the in-cabin experience. These features make daily drives in Irvine and longer trips near Newport Beach more connected and enjoyable.

Safety

Safety is a core focus in the 2026 Velar, with a range of advanced driver-assist features designed to support awareness and control. Safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a 3D surround-view camera system. Together, these systems help drivers navigate busy streets in Santa Ana or highways throughout Orange County with added confidence.
